- Building Security
Our creative space is located in Office 19, Big Yellow Flexi Offices, 8-9 Rodney Road, Southsea, PO4 8BF. The Flexi Offices, are located to the right hand side of the Big Yellow building, opposite the cemetery. You would need to enter the Big Yellow site through the main gates on Rodney Road, and follow the building round to the right. Parking on site at the Big Yellow is included whilst attending your session. When you arrive at the flexi offices, please ring the buzzers for Dios Designs (17, 18, 19 & 23) and a member of staff which let you in and accompany you to Office 19. Please do not enter the building without buzzing and meeting a member of our staff, as we will not know you are in the building.
- Fire safety
You will be shown the fire exits on arrival. Should the alarm sound during your visit, You will need to exit the building and gather near the main gates to the Big Yellow, next to the bin sheds. There is no smoking or vaping allowed inside the building and there is a designated smoking area next to the car park.
- Equipment safety
Each piece of equipment will have its own safety instructions and risk assessment. You will be unable to use equipment unsupervised and will need to follow all instructions provided. Failure to do so, may mean that we need to end your session with no refund given. Failure to adhere to safety instructions given, may result in injury or damage to the equipment. We will accept no liability for incidents which occur whilst using the creative space. Use of epoxy resin will require use of full PPE, and a separate waiver must be signed to ensure you understand the limitations of working with this material.
All sessions will be recorded via CCTV for security. This footage will be stored via the cloud and will be automatically deleted after 30 days. This footage will only be accessible by the business owner (Chloe Oribhabor) and will only be viewed and stored for longer than 30 days in the unlikely event of an incident such as an accident, injury or missing or damaged items and equipment.
- Covid Procedures
We have been classified as non-essential retail By Portsmouth Council and will be required to follow all guidance relating to this category. Should this category be required to close in the future, we will offer either a refund or to change any booking affected by a closure.
Masks should be worn in the building and whilst in the creative space, unless you are exempt.
The creative space and all equipment will be cleaned after each visit. Hand sanitizing gel is available for use during your visit.
Due to social distancing measures, and cleaning procedures, we cannot allow you to enter the space outside of your appointment times.
There is a booking system in place to ensure that we cannot exceed our maximum capacity, the maximum capacity may change as social distancing measures ease.
- Booking amendments and Cancellations
You may amend your booking time to an alternative date and time or receive a refund, by informing us more than 24 hours before your booking. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to do so. New booking times will be subject to availability,
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booked time, will not receive a refund or credit for future bookings.
In the event that a booking needs to be cancelled by us or your session ends early due to an emergency, You will be given the choice of a refund or credit for a future booking.
- Use of materials
All of our reusable materials and equipment are included in the use of the space, eg computers, printers, vinyl cutter, heat presses and pens. We include the cost of making at least one item in the price to use the space, but additional items are likely to include additional costs.
We have supplies of non-reusable materials which you can purchase to use for your projects such as sublimation paper, vinyl and printable items. We can provide small amounts for testing, but larger amounts will incur a cost. A pricelist will be provided in the space, and payment can be taken from these via card. You are welcome to bring your own supplies, so long as they are compatible for use with our equipment. We cannot allow you to plug any electrical equipment in, as these items would not have been safety tested.
- File storage
As this is a shared space, we would ask you to bring a USB stick from which you can open files and save files, such as print files, cut files or designs. We cannot save your files on our own computers as these will be use by others. We will have USB sticks available for purchase, should you require one.
